Lantamal VIII Commander Receives Delegation of CorpatPhilindo XXXVIII-24, Strengthening Indonesia-Philippines Military Cooperation

North Sulawesi — The Commander of Lantamal VIII, First Admiral TNI May Franky Pasuna Sihombing, CHRMP., received a visit from the Head of Delegation CorpatPhilindo XXXVIII-24, Captain Junjie B Tabuada PN., at the Lantamal VIII Headquarters Lobby. This visit is a form of friendship and an effort to strengthen diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the Philippines, particularly in the military field. Monday, November 18, 2024.

Lantamal VIII Commander welcomed the CorpatPhilindo XXXVIII-24 delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit. This meeting is expected to strengthen military cooperation between the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Philippines Navy, which has been well established for a long time.

Collaboration between the two navies, particularly in coordinated patrols in the maritime border, is the main focus of this meeting. This is considering that Lantamal VIII’s operational area covers the Indonesia-Philippines border, which requires strong synergy and coordination to maintain security and stability in the region.

Also present at the event were principal officials and heads of Lantamal VIII work units.

CorpatPhilindo is an abbreviation of “Cooperation Patrol Indonesia-Philippines”. It is a joint patrol activity conducted by the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Philippines Navy in the maritime border area of the two countries.
